Neumagen-Dhron

Our first ancestor Mattheis' wife Maria Werner was born abt. 1610 in Neumagen-Dhron. It is famous wine town 2 miles apart from Piesport / Münster-Emmel via the historic roman Ausonius' street (double dashed line), next to the River Mosel (dark line). Neumagen-Dhron was founded by the Romans as a fort of Emperor Constantinus and is one of the oldest German towns we have documents of.
